Human Rights
The rights of the people in Vietnam are not really even there for them at all. In the US the human rights issues were recorded as poor and continuation of serious abuse. They have imprisoned those who fight for the human rights for those don’t have them. The people are restricted freedom of assembly, association, and also the right to even change their government. They also do not have the right to freedom of speach which is a major freedom of the Unitied States.
The government doesn’t let anyone speak the things they want to, they are not allowed to speak out against the government or they are put in prison.Their
government pretty much controls what they are and are not allowed to say.The International Organizations that defend human rights are the people that are affected by the human rights problem. These people are usually the women who have enough courage to protest against the government.

Environmental Information
Vietnam has been long affected by deforestation, and the "Slash and Burn" way of farming. The country is also war stained from things such as Agent Orange, Napalm, and Pesticides and herbicides. Vietnam is also a big fishing country. This meaning the population of aquatic creature is low and well used. The underwater creature population is lowered considerable before it is raised again. The water isn’t just used to fish; it is also used for drinking. The groundwater was also affected by the years of war as well as other contaminates making the water unhealthy. Many people are also changing location to more urbanized areas. This means more overcrowding and more development in cities.
If given the option...
If given the option of staying here in America or moving to Vietnam I would choose to stay here. Vietnam has many environmental issues and isn’t fully modernized yet; Unlike the United States which doesn’t have as many of these problems because it’s been modernized much longer. Vietnam is also a war torn country, there are still marks of war in the forests and in the water supply. I also do not agree with the government of Vietnam. Their government is communist and I personally am against communism. Most likely for my views I would be jailed for expressing my views or something ridicules that we here in American take for granted. Vietnam doesn’t have half the freedoms we do in America nor does it have the modernization that America has. These are the issues I would have with Vietnam. If they were more modernized and cleaned up their environment and became a democracy then I could change my mind. Without those changes though America is the all around better and safer choose.
